Help patients get from useful information to a clear next step

A person may need larger text, a keyboard, a screen reader, captions or more time to complete a form. If the service description is readable but the contact or booking step is difficult, the journey still has a barrier.

Our ADA website compliance services start with the tasks that matter to your practice: understanding a service, finding a location, contacting the team and reaching the appropriate appointment route. We identify the work your website team can handle and where another supplier or specialist is needed.

What should a website accessibility review cover?

Start with representative page types and important patient tasks. Check the navigation, service information, clinician profiles, contact forms and the route into booking. Documents, video and embedded tools need to be named in the scope rather than assumed to be covered.

Review can include text contrast and resizing, heading structure, descriptive links, keyboard access, visible focus, form labels and understandable error messages. Automated checks are useful leads. Manual testing and, when agreed, specialist assistive-technology testing assess parts of the experience an automated score cannot establish.

The W3C’s first accessibility checks explain useful starting points and their limits. A full conformance assessment requires a defined method and a broader scope.

Turn findings into work your team can act on

Agree on the pages and tasks, then review existing reports before commissioning another scan. A useful record identifies the barrier, where it occurs, its effect on completing the task and the proposed fix.

Prioritize recurring template problems and barriers to reading or contacting the practice. Define who implements each change, who reviews it and how the affected task will be checked again. Your team should know which issues were resolved and which still need attention.

Where a new build or broader redesign is appropriate, our medical website design service covers the wider project. Existing sites may need focused improvements instead.

ADA website compliance and WCAG: what is the difference?

The Americans with Disabilities Act addresses access and nondiscrimination. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, or WCAG, describe technical criteria for making web content more accessible. They serve different purposes.

WCAG 2.2 Level AA can be an agreed technical benchmark for a project. The requirements that apply to a particular healthcare organization depend on its circumstances. We define the technical scope and document the work; a legal adviser determines applicable legal obligations.

Read the Department of Justice’s guidance on web accessibility and the ADA and the W3C’s WCAG quick reference when discussing the assessment your practice needs.

How accessiBe fits into the work

Marketing Doctors is an accessiBe partner. We can help evaluate how its tools fit an agreed website-accessibility plan and coordinate installation and configuration where appropriate. We disclose the tool and implementation costs before a commitment.

Tools are one part of the work. accessiBe’s published exclusions include documents such as PDFs, audio and video, embedded third-party content and CAPTCHA. These can require direct remediation, specialist work or cooperation from another supplier.

The work should be assessed through the actual experience: can someone read the information, reach the controls and complete the task? Installing a widget or receiving a report does not, by itself, answer every part of that question.

Know what you are buying before work begins

Share your website address, the task you most want to improve and any existing findings. We review the platform, content types and dependencies before recommending a scope.

The proposal distinguishes the initial review, direct website work, tool licensing and any specialist testing. It identifies access needs, approvals, responsibilities and the way completed work will be checked. We do not quote a universal price or promise certification from an undefined review.

If changes affect forms or marketing tools, coordinate the data decisions with your responsible team. Our marketing measurement and privacy guidance explains why an accessibility improvement and a patient-data decision need their own checks.

Questions about website accessibility services

What is ADA website compliance, and is it mandatory?

The ADA addresses access to goods and services, including access provided through websites. The duties that apply depend on the organization and circumstances. WCAG provides technical accessibility criteria; it is not the law itself. We can scope technical work, while your legal adviser determines the requirements that apply to your practice.

What does a website accessibility audit include?

An audit needs a defined scope: pages, patient tasks, components, browsers, assistive technologies and the criteria being assessed. Automated checks can identify some problems, but manual review is also needed. Agree on whether the work includes a prioritized findings report, repairs and retesting. A limited review should not be described as a full conformance audit.

Is installing accessiBe enough?

A tool can support specific adjustments and monitoring, but it does not establish that every page, document or patient journey is accessible. accessiBe lists exclusions including PDFs, captions, embedded third-party content and CAPTCHA. The appropriate plan can include tool configuration, direct website fixes and separately scoped specialist testing.

Can you improve our existing site instead of rebuilding it?

We first review the site and the tasks people need to complete. Some barriers can be addressed through focused changes to templates, forms or content. A rebuild may be worth discussing when the current structure prevents practical repairs, but it is not the starting assumption.

What about online booking tools, PDFs and videos?

These need to be included explicitly in the review. Your website team may not control a third-party booking system, and a website widget does not repair every document or create accurate captions. We identify the responsible supplier and agree on remediation, testing or an alternative way to complete the task.

How much do website accessibility services cost?

The cost depends on the website, the number of page types, important tasks, existing findings and the testing or repair work required. Tool licensing, implementation and specialist review may be separate costs. We agree on the scope and fee before work begins.

Does accessibility work guarantee compliance or prevent lawsuits?

No blanket guarantee follows from an automated score, a widget or a limited review. Technical findings and completed fixes should be documented against the agreed scope. Legal requirements and any existing complaint need advice from a qualified legal professional.

Will we need to review accessibility after the initial work?

Yes. New pages, changed forms, new documents and third-party updates can introduce barriers. Agree on who checks changes, how feedback reaches the team and which tasks should be retested. The review schedule should fit how the site is maintained.

Accessibility on MarketingDrs.com and how to report a barrier

We want people to be able to read this website, use its navigation and contact Marketing Doctors. Our current checks include headings, form labels, keyboard focus, button contrast and layout at desktop and mobile widths. These checks are part of ongoing improvement, not a claim that we have completed an independent, whole-site conformance audit.

Downloads and third-party tools can have different accessibility limitations. If a PDF, CAPTCHA, form or another part of this website prevents you from getting information, please tell us which page you were using, what you were trying to do and what went wrong.

Email info@marketingdrs.com or call (325) 725-7700. You do not have to complete the website form to report a problem. Please do not include patient records or sensitive medical information. We’ll discuss an alternative way to provide the information you need.
